From being one of the smallest countries on the planet, we rose to becoming the strongest and largest Empire in history. And we are still the 4th wealthiest nation and due to our strong links with America, as well as being in the EU and also our Commonwealth links, we are one of the most influential countries on the planet. We marched onwards to dominate the globe, educating people to run themselves by our democratic rules, speak our language as the international language. We were the world's first democracy, the world's first industrialised nation, we invented TV, radio, steam power, the internet, we discovered electricity and established the world's first Parliament, health service and welfare state. We have fought to defend what we believe in and given our lives to liberate others. From time to time, other nations may have been trampled on in our march onwards and upwards, but they were merely casualties of progress. Who would want to come from some anonymous wishy-washy country that has never achieved anything and never said boo to a goose?! I'm from Great Britain and I don't have to apologise for that!
We are the greatest nation on the planet and anyone who wants to have a go at us, or demand wealth from us, should go away and build an army that can beat us, otherwise shut up!
