I've watched lots of documentaries and nowhere did it say that the Brits had a different idea that was better, but was rejected. More often than not the British and Americans would come to a concensus...

Okay, it was i think 1943 or something and we were heading for rome and we told you to go come of italy and sail to rome, but instead you went straight through to the city going through mountains and u ended up with severe casualities

well, didn't the Roman empire do the same? That started to collapse aswell very rapidly. well we were only a small nation holding onto 3 quatres of the world, i dont think were that good to keep that much

Yes, they divided into two. but aftrer that the Western Half splintered from Barbarian raids. Only the Eastern Half remained.
Again you couldn't have kept it even if you wanted to. The West commited suicide not just once, but twice in one generation.

Well our empire lasted for over 100 years, i think we deserved a break, maybe we couldnt keep it up because it was hard work, especially against the Zulus, and up against you and the french. The Romans just left us and everything fell apart, we've even done it in history

Remember your economy was in ruins after the war. You didn't just need a break, you needed cardiac ressucitation. in any case, the cost of keeping the Empire with restless opposition within most of the colonies including some Dominions far outwieghed the benefits. Thus you HAD to dismantle. Within a generation most of the major territories were gone.

You're refering to the American general Mark Clark, who ignored his commanding officer, the British General Harold Alexander, in the invasion of Italy and marched American troops into Rome, which as a result, meant they failed to exploit the gap following the defeat of Germany in Monte Cassino, allowing a substantial number of German troops to escape and reinforce at the Gothic Line.

If your going to act all smart then use proper words so i can understand you, not like "ya" + "u". You didnt defeat us, you kicked us out, even your own people came onto our side, take over our global rule? What are you on about? You also had help of the French to kick us out and it took over 100 years to do so. What are you on about asians and black people? We gave you them as slaves and you bought them of us. The British at the time didn't actually care that much that the 13 colonies won independance with the help of the Spanish and French, that's why they didn't send their army to take it back. The Americans haven't taken over global rule, we gave the countries back their independance after WW2 because we promised we would and they fought for us. I'm not sore that there is such thing as the USA but what annoys me is that there are xenophobic people like you and the author.

Its easy to say 'take the joke', but its sick humour, most of which is false. Three quarters of the book is basically 'we only jumped of the cliff cuz these guys did'. Should be added: Austria,Russia,France and Spain would had attacked brittain if they hadnt retreated. There was no reason to send soldiers on the other side of the globe when they were much more needed in Europe. The whole world had to unite against brittain to make it let go of USA.
